Frequently Asked Questions
-
Is it true that homework doesn't count?
Homework is now used to practice skills rather than tasks to be completed. Homework now helps make students accountable for their own learning.
For example:
- Student A: Does not understand the material from in-class work. Student A completes all the homework and gets feedback from the teacher on performance. Student A uses those materials to study for assessments and receives higher grades on his assessments because of the time spent on homework.

My Student received an NA. What does this mean?
An NA can mean 1 of 3 things:
- Not assessed--Your student was absent and needs to make it up
- No attempt--which means your student was in class but refused to do the task
- Not applicable--Made an attempt but there was not enough information to score what they submitted
- An NA will convert to a zero in the gradebook which really impacts the grade.
-
Can I improve my scores?
Contact your or your student’s teacher. A system should be put into place in order to improve scores.
